Who would have thought that planning a move would be such a complete drain on one’s creativity?

Alas, all my energies are currently being channeled into writing lists and little do-not-forget notes on yellow sticky tags. I’ve also written some reminders on my hand that seem to have washed off, and now I am at a loss.

Tomorrow I leave my favourite city in the world for a job.

But leaving Toronto means many unknowns:

Will my new favourite Toronto coffee shop survive without my business?

Where will I purchase my Saturday morning chocolate croissant, and in which park will I read my newspaper?

Who will replace Andy Barrie and Metro Morning on my walks to work?

Will I survive the harsh winter?

Will I be able to get over my pathological Torontocentricity?

Only time will tell.

Think of me.

well, my little co-newly-minted ottawanaian (what the heck DO they call themselves?!), i absolutely understand how you feel. at least i have already found my new favourite patisserie (EXCELLENT for chocolate croissants and lattes on a sunday morning) and my new favourite used bookstore and my new favourite brie appetizer in ottawa. i will introduce you to all! the exciting thing about moving is discovering all the "new favourites" and the treat of re-visiting the old on trips home!
